Observer Days
We are aware that some people are put off coming on the ride outs as they have only recently passed their test or feel that they don’t have the experience and confidence.
This need not be the case, firstly, on the ride outs, we all ride to the abilities of the people in the group. We do not and will not coerce riders into riding faster than they are comfortable with as this is a major cause of accidents and none of us want that.
Secondly, if you are not already aware Colin Measures has kindly agreed to hold observer days/evenings (Lasting approx 2hrs to 3hrs per session depending on the light) as has Cleve Hennessey whereby they will show you defensive riding. Colin was trained many years ago by the Police as was Clive and have ridden for more years than they care to remember Colin is now a CBT Instructor and very experienced. Some members have already taken advantage of this and now feel far more confident on their machines. All Colin and Clive asks, is that for the session a £5 donation is made to OMC,and £5 to cover their Petrol for the 2 hour ride, Now that is value for money!!!!.We now have John Pick who has agreed to lead the less experienced riders on a Ride out, setting off 1/2hr earlier than the experienced riders, we will all meet at the same location.
